We are so excited to be able to offer this fabulous organic extra virgin olive oil! Only 600 liters of the oil are produced each year! This incredible oil is from Poggio Etrusco, Pamela Sheldon Johns and Johnny Johns’ 15 acre organic olive farm near Montepulciano, Italy. The farm is in the Tuscan province of Siena. The oil contains four varieties of olives — moraiolo, leccino, correggiolo/frantoiana and pendolino — that are entirely hand harvested over a three to four day period in November of every year. After harvesting, the olives arrive at the frantoio where they pass through a brief stone ground process, then into a cold continuous system that macerates, extracts and centrifuges the fresh oil. It is simply delightful with hints of rose, pepper, honey, wildflowers and bay.
